Since today is Monday, and we all know how much I like those (I don't), I decided to cheer myself and hopefully all of you up by kicking the week off with some amazing pictures by Russian photographer/photo artist Margarita Kareva. Her works, as you will see, are masterfully composed, styled and photographed and really hit home with me, since many of them are inspired by the Russian fairy tales my mother and grandmother used to read to me when I was little. Plus, they are just incredibly beautiful. I guess I'll just leave you with this eye candy Margarita kindly allowed me to share with you and please do let me know your thoughts! Here's to a good week ahead!

The maxi dress is a synonym of femininity and ladylike attire, but a T-shirt maxi dress also stands for comfort and casual chic. I couldn't have opted for a better dress for today's heat than this abstract print cotton t-shirt maxi. I turned it into a more elegant look by adding a wide waist belt, my extra high BCBG wedges and silver jewelry: a vintage bracelet and my reindeer pendant necklace from Australia by Robjant Couture. Check out THIS post to see my Robjant Couture travel necklace and cocktail ring. What do you think?

Today I put together a very special selection of wedding accessories (and all kinds of wedding-related things, really). I believe that wedding dresses should be white - or cream, or light pink, or any similar light color - but there is no reason why one shouldn't break the rules when it comes to the accessories. I love to see a pop of color on the bride, be it a pink engagement ring, a pair of emerald green wedding shoes or a bright bridal bouquet. Take a look at my picks and let me know which one is your favorite!

When I went to bed last night to the sound of the ceiling fan on max, laying on top of my sheets thinking to myself What have I done to deserve death by heatstroke?, I couldn't have imagined that I would wake up to the sound of rain on my window and gusts of cold wind tearing at my curtains. Oh well... This kind of weather obviously called for a jumper and even a scarf (never mind it's July). I wore a white crochet dress underneath it, so it kind of looks like a skirt, and paired it with leather boots - no sandals for me today. Thankfully the rain stopped in the early afternoon so we could take these pictures in peace at sunset. Let me know what you think of them!

|You see that thing in the upper right corner? Yeah, that's NUTELLA ice cream ;)|
Summer is officially in full swing and everything is getting slow and impossible here in Italy with everyone on - or about to leave on - vacation. For some inexplicable reason the entire population, or at least those who are not in prison or hospital, take their vacation in the end of July and in August - a strange concept I haven't quite managed to grasp yet. Shops and offices close, streets become empty and many towns appear to be dead like gigantic abandoned movie sets. Larger cities like Florence become entirely populated by tourists. This is my least favorite time of the year, because nothing gets done and I feel forced to go on vacation in the worst possible period, when beaches are crowded, it's hot like hell and traffic jams last hours. End of rant. I leave you with my latest insta-pics, a little less than usual, but I'll be back with a new outfit post on Monday. Enjoy the rest of the weekend!

My love for pastels has never been a secret and we all know that there's no better time to wear this trend than in the summer heat. I don't wear a lot of printed pants, but I decided I would give them a chance and pair their delicate abstract print with nude pieces to let them stand out. You might have already seen my Mia bag in this outfit post - it is my go-to bag for nude and pastel outfits. Do let me know what you think about this look!

Whenever I'm not sure what to wear and need a fast outfit solution for the day, this is what I choose: a pencil skirt, a cardigan and a pair of heels. This combination instantly makes me confident, but still casual enough - thanks to the cardigan - to walk around town without attracting too many stares. Today I wore a white cotton top with lace details underneath my cardi and accessorized with my new jewelry that arrived all the way from Australia: a silver pendant necklace (you might have already seen it on my Instagram) and a black cocktail ring by Robjant Couture. Aren't they lovely?
