Hey babes! Are you all ready for Valentine's Day? I'm not sure what we'll be doing yet, but knowing myself (and hubs) we're probably going to end up devouring a typical Tuscan dinner - including prosciutto, bloody steak and good wine - in our favorite trattoria in Florence. Candle light is totally optional as long as the food is great...
Anyway, we have just decided to move to a new house in a couple of months, so I'm on the hunt for cute home decor ideas. I found these lovely wall prints on Beddinginn.com and I think they are a great way to add some character to a white wall, especially if you're on a budget. Personally I am a fan of flower photos, since they are so feminine and come in an infinite variety of colors, but if you live with your significant other, landscapes are probably a better - and more democratic - choice. I found that pictures of water, like lakes, rivers or seas, can be really relaxing.
DIY wall stickers are another great way to decorate your walls. They are two-dimensional, so they will become an organic part of your wall and the effect can be truly magical. I absolutely love the flying butterflies in the third picture!
Do you have any wall art in your home? Have you ever tried decals? I haven't, but I would love to, I think they add a really cool element of surprise to one's room. You can find tons of ideas for cheap modern wall art decals on the Beddinginn website. Here are my favorites:
Let me know which ones you like best! I would put the white roses in my bedroom and the butterfly decal in my office, in case you're wondering ;)
