Camel Coat

It's been a while since my last outfit post huh... Even though I still somehow manage to dress my sleep deprived self every morning and get out of the house by lunchtime, taking outfit pictures seemed like an impossible task until now. But hey, I did it! I guess this is the first step to returning to a somewhat normal schedule.

Banggood Wishlist

1 // 2 // 3 // 4 // 5 // 6

It's Christmas time, you guys! Another perfect occasion to wear lots of black - but with festive red accents. I chose these pieces from Banggood and I think they would all be perfect for a casual holiday lunch with friends or a day of Christmas shopping. I especially love the wool skater skirt and the super cute reindeer pin and the biker boots are perfect to balance out the girly details. What do you guys think? Do you have a favorite?

All Things Bean + GIVEAWAY

Well, happy Monday, everyone! I'm up at the crack of dawn (8 am) writing this, because feeding and taking care of a miniature human around the clock while your whole body aches is no easy task and getting out of bed at this ungodly hour is the only way I can accomplish anything during the day. But it's so worth it, people, that I will just stop complaining and enjoy the miracle that is motherhood.

Baby Cherie Is Here

I guess it's time to announce the big news. My baby girl was born last Tuesday, November 24. She came 2 weeks early and surprised us all, but is healthy and beautiful and perfect in every way. We named her Cherie Anais.

La Queue Du Chat - Sustainable Fashion for Kids + GIVEAWAY

Hello loves! Today I'm 37 weeks pregnant, which is officially considered "early term". As in, baby is basically ready to come. Eek. I mean, I hope she stays in there at least a little longer, because I still have so many things to do before she arrives...

Monday, November 16, 2015

I had some fun with these tweed pieces today - a pair of "jogging" pants and a tunic. I think it's really interested how you can wear the same exact fabric styled in completely different ways: a very casual sporty look and a much more polished outfit. I kept the color palette minimal for this grey November day. Also, it makes layering so much easier!

Neoprene Maternity Mini

A quick post to wish you all a wonderful weekend! I hope it's just as sunny and warm wherever you are as here in Italy, even though it's kind of weird for the middle of November. As you can see, I wore a (maternity) mini skirt with no tights yesterday - and that's not only because none of my tights fit me right now. Man, I'm huge. #itsnottwins

Pikku - Clothes For Little Ones

Romper by Pigeon Organics

As you can imagine, I have been super excited about preparing my baby's wardrobe. Although I've had a pretty easy pregnancy (besides the initial morning sickness), this is hands down the best part so far! I obviously hadn't really been interested in baby brands before, so I'm having so much fun shopping around now.

Maternity LBD

maternity style blogger

Never underestimate the slimming powers of a little black dress. If it can make me look like I'm 6 months pregnant instead of 8, it can definitely make you look like you didn't eat that spicy sausage pizza at 2 am last night.

Blade&Rose Baby Leggings Giveaway

One of the perks of expecting a baby is that you get to purchase an entire new wardrobe. It's not for you, of course, but it's just as much fun, if not more. After all, you only get a few short years when you get to decide what your child wears and baby clothes are so insanely cute!

Hypnotic Texture and Fringe Boots

I'm absolutely in awe of this dress's ability to camouflage my baby bump. Not that I want to hide it, but the optic effect is remarkable, comparing to what my belly actually looks like. Yet another example of flattering maternity wear (kindly sent to me by Mami).

Sunday By The River

Happy new week guys! We're back to winter time and I've definitely been in winter mode all weekend - which means sleeping, eating and more sleeping... On a positive note, I've taken to walking recently, because I haven't been able to do any sports since the beginning of my pregnancy - doctor's orders - so I figured it would be a good idea too move a little, even if just half an hour a day.

Black Leather

After seeing these pictures on my computer screen I realized that you can't even tell that I'm almost 8 months pregnant here. Which is funny, because in real life you definitely can haha. I guess it's partly because of the light reflective properties of my white shirt, partly because of the poses, but mostly thanks to my strategically draped vest from Praio's new fall/winter collection.

Indian Fashion Brands Everyone Should Know

One of my missions as a fashion blogger is to discover - and help my readers discover - brands and products that might be new to them. It's easy to always turn to the same brands we already know - let's just admit that we are all guilty of this - but it's way more interesting to research, discover and experiment with new things.

Farfetch Favorites

Hey loves! Just a quick post to show you my collage of favorites from I love textured knits for fall and neutral tones allow some room for experimentation - such as these fierce Saint Laurent ankle boots or a pair of statement earrings.

PRAIO F/W 2015-2016

PRAIO, of all the fabulous fashion brands I've had the chance to work with in these past couple of years, will always have a special place in my heart. We have been working together for a year and a half now and I've witnessed their journey from promising up-and-comers to strong players in the Italian and international fashion industry.

Maternity Favorites

At the beginning of my pregnancy for some reason I was convinced that I wouldn't really be needing maternity clothes. I thought that going a few sizes up or wearing the baggier clothes I already own would suffice. The wake up call came in the form of an old white silk dress I was planning to wear to a party in the beginning of summer. It has a halter neck and an empire waist with a loose flowing skirt, so there was seemingly no reason for it not to fit. And yet it didn't. I was only 4 months pregnant at the time.

Dressing Up The Bump

pregnant fashion blogger

Dressing a growing baby bump is no easy task, but there's no reason why it shouldn't be fun! Strategic pleats and ruffles, fall layers, bows, buttons and accessories, prints and bold colors come to our rescue when it seems like there's nothing in the world that could make us look stylish and pulled together.

Firmoo Giveaway

Me wearing my favorite Firmoo glasses in my first post of 2015

Hello there! It's no secret how much I like Firmoo glasses (the pair you see in the photo above is the one I wear on most days) and now I would like to give you the chance to win your own pair. You gonna love them, trust me!

Fun Maternity Tees

Some days all I want is to throw on a pair of (comfortable maternity) jeans and a T-shirt and be on my way. I don't usually go for the easy solutions when it comes to clothes, but you guys have no idea how simple and relaxing it is to just pull a clean tee out of the drawer, add a cuff bracelet for fun and a cardi for chilly evenings, and be out the door.

Fashion Brands to Watch

This used to be a monthly feature before I took a "morning sickness" break this spring, so I decided to bring it back, because I really enjoy discovering new brands, and I'm sure many of you do, too. So let's get started with this month's new favorites!

Burgundy and Grey

Burgundy with grey is one of my most favorite color combinations, especially for fall. The richness of this saturated wine color balanced by calm neutral greys makes for uniquely elegant looks, suitable for both day and evening.

Electric Blue Is The New Salmon Pink

It took me a certain amount of courage to wear such a bold color (and so much of it), since I'm starting to feel really big and my belly and I are already drawing all kinds of attention, but I must say I'm glad I went with with this electric blue number for our trip to Rome a few days ago.

Red as a Rose

All my life I have always been the girl who is cold. I can't stand air conditioning, don't ever put ice in my drinks and winter is my nemesis. This all changed when I got pregnant - all summer I have been blasting the air conditioning, drinking ice cold water and bitching about the heat. The fact that this was the hottest summer in 200 years probably didn't help either.

Fall Favorites

Fall is a time of new beginnings, new wardrobes and new discoveries. Today I wanted to share with you some of my recent finds, I hope you love them just as much as I do!

Linen Maternity Dress

Today I'm exactly 3 calendar months away from my due date and I can't believe how fast time has flown by. My belly is getting bigger by the day - it already looks (and feels) like a basketball, so I can't even imagine what I'm going to look like in December haha :)

Fall/Winter 2015 Fashion Accessories

Hello ladies! Today I would like to share with you this awesome infographic created by It features five of the most important fashion trends of the fall/winter 2015 season - and while I don't think I will be rocking furry slippers anytime soon, I think it's fun to discover (and criticize) what our favorite designers have come up with this year. Which trend do you like the most? I'm definitely feeling the '70s vibe - I'd wear those burgundy fringe booties any day of the week!

Scarf As A Top

As my belly is slowly but surely starting to look like a watermelon, my wardrobe options are becoming limited, to say the least. I can still comfortably fit into some of my stretchy cotton dresses and larger chiffon tunics, but I'm guessing I'll be wearing mostly maternity clothes from now on. As for last night, I thought I'd wear this silk scarf as a top for dinner, because why not. Also, it was hot and humid and I'm 6 months pregnant, which basically means I can do whatever I want, right? At least that's what I tell my husband when he catches me eating snack #4 at 3am.

Off The Shoulder

A casual outfit I wore this weekend to Forte dei Marmi, a seaside town I will probably be moving to for the rest of my pregnancy. A light cotton shirt, super short denim shorts and studded espadrilles make for a comfortable look that is great for the beach, but is also not entirely inappropriate for running errands in town. Except I clearly didn't run too many errands this weekend, as you can probably tell by my messy beach hair... oh well. Weekends are for going to the beach and enjoying life, aren't they? ;)

Pom Pom Shorts

As you can imagine, my style has been all about elastic waist bands and comfort recently (well, except for the shoes maybe haha). Also, I've wanted to try this super fun pom pom shorts trend since forever and now I am the proud owner of this pair here, aren't they cute?

Shy Girls Rock Vegas Fashion Week

Most of you will probably agree with me when I say that beauty is power. But women who are beautiful, intelligent and talented all at once? They are a one-in-a-million kind of treasure!

6 Months

As you can see, my belly really popped out in the last few days, but I still haven't invested in any proper maternity clothes (beside the jeans I wore in this post). Instead, I've been wearing pieces - mostly dresses - in a larger size that fit comfortably over my bump, but that I hopefully will also be able to wear  after my pregnancy.

The Old and the New

maternity fashion

I'm not much of a bargain hunter - by which I mean I don't really have the patience to browse through hundreds of sales racks just to find a few good pieces, but I definitely know a good deal when I see one. I scored this dress just last week for 7 euros, which is crazy, considering you can barely get a sandwich and a drink for that price here in Florence. Also, since it's really stretchy, I figured it will fit me (and my belly) at least until October.

Raspberry Red Dress

Hello, ladies! It's now officially my least favorite time of the year - August in Italy is a freakin' nightmare. It's hot and everything's closed and all the places I'd want to go to (e.g. beaches, air conditioned malls) are crowded with people, most of whom are just as sweaty and irritated as I am, which makes life almost unbearable. I'm plotting an escape.

Maternity Jeans and 4-inch Heels

I am currently enjoying the last few weeks of being able to wear stilettos before my feet swell to the size of watermelons - or at least that's what Google says I should be prepared for at this stage of my pregnancy... I've just entered my 6th month and, up until now, I was one of those girls who think they will not need any maternity clothes, after all you can just buy a few sizes up in regular clothes, right? Wrong.

The Challenges of Dressing a Small Baby Bump

It's 40 degrees (104 F) outside and I'm 5 months pregnant, so right now I feel totally excused from participating in life - including socializing, answering my phone, cooking, dealing with people and getting out of bed. Also, I have no idea what to wear because, well, it's so hot I can't breathe and also because I'm in a stage where I don't yet look obviously pregnant, but rather...umm...fat.

Romper on the Beach

Hey guys! I have been completely off-line for the past few weeks, including my blog and all my social networks. I wish I could say that I've been living an incredibly busy and satisfying life in the "real world" instead, but sadly I've been feeling quite sick all this time. It's nothing serious, but enough to keep me off the computer and my phone. As I'm slowly starting to feel better now, I intend to start posting regularly again and I hope you all will wait this storm out with me and stick around.

Wine Red Dress

Hey guys! As you might have noticed I took last week off blogging. It wasn't planned - otherwise I would have probably let you all know - but you know, sometimes life happens and as strict as I usually am to myself when it comes to work, I need to learn to let myself go a little and relax every once in a while.

A Guide to Buying Jewelry - Diamonds for Every Day

Diamonds, as you all know, are not only our best friends, but our very best choice when it comes to choosing an accessory that is subtle, feminine and just plain beautiful. However, it might be difficult to choose between all the different shapes and sizes of diamond jewelry available today, and considering the steep price tag, it is very important to choose well, so that you end up with a piece that you will love and cherish for many years to come.

Sky Blue Shirt and Skinny Jeans

An easy casual outfit for a relaxed weekend: a lightweight button down shirt, my new super skinny PRAIO jeans and a pair of slouchy leather boots. The special "jersey jean" fabric invented by PRAIO makes these pants extremely comfortable and very soft to the touch and the icy blue color is perfect for summer outfits. What do you guys think? ;)

Florals? For Spring? Groundbreaking.

I'm sure you've all recognized the quote by our favorite diabolic editor-in-chief Miranda Priestly. But "groundbreaking" or not, florals are here to stay and there is no better season to wear them than spring. I have just received this tropical print skirt in the mail and I'm so in love with it. It's super twirly and thanks to its good fabric and an underskirt it keeps its shape really well. What do you guys think?

PRAIO S/S 2015 Indian Sicilian Collection

This is not the first time I write about PRAIO, a made in Italy fashion brand I have known and loved for over a year now. Their jersey jeans have become one of my trusted wardrobe staples - they are the most comfortable pair I own and their casual chic style makes them perfect for most occasions.
